Justin Gibbs

Hello! I’m currently a Producer at Gearbox Software in Dallas, Texas. My master’s degrees in game production and programming, combined with ten years of coaching experience on volleyball teams, give me a unique approach to production. I enjoy working with analytics and user research, and I believe they have a place in modern game design and production. I’m a strong believer in Agile and teaching teams to take an iterative approach to development. I’m excited to share my skills and knowledge with your game development team!


Recent Projects

Risk of Rain 2

Risk of Rain 2 is a roguelike 3rd-person looter shooter made by Hopoo Games. Gearbox introduced a co-development team to help Hopoo games with porting and developing content for the long tail of the game.

Doom/Doom 2

Nerve worked with Bethesda and id Software to bring the iconic first person shooters Doom and Doom 2 to modern consoles. We also worked to include some quality of life updates to help bring the influential shooters into the periphery of a whole new generation of gamers.

Prey: Typhon Hunter

Prey: Typhon Hunter is a DLC for Prey that consists of three VR escape rooms and a first person/third person/ VR multiplayer prop hunt mode. In multiplayer, players play as either a mimic, or the Prey hero Morgan to either hide as an object in the environment or find all the mimics before the time runs out.

Infection Prototype

Nerve’s Infection Prototype was built on the concept of team-switching between two asymmetrical teams where one team (aliens) can only see the other (humans) through their sound events. The game ends when the humans accomplish some objective in the environment or when they’re all converted into aliens.
